Custom Database Applications
The core of QA Systems is QA RAD — a software environment that powers QA Systems’ 100% data driven, object oriented solutions. QA RAD is a development/runtime software environment with Windows® and Web Browser interfaces. It provides a flexible, scalable and easy to use architecture that operates at the most complex enterprise level. The nature of the QA RAD environment allows for rapid development and implementation of tailored applications.
QA Systems approach to building solutions is one where clients get to dictate how the system should behave and work when it comes to data elements collected and business rules to be applied. QA Systems provides a system for clients to input, view, and report on these data elements. Our role has been to advise clients in this building process. Showing what works, pros & cons of certain requests from clients and examples of what other clients have successfully implemented. The end result is a product specifically tailored to meet client’s business needs and flexible enough so that it can be changed or modified at any time without impacting the system or its users. Applications built within QA RAD share a common interface, so that even though each client has a unique system in terms of data collection and reporting they are the same in terms of functionality and code that makes up that solution. This allows us to provide a common ground for support and upgrades along with the ability to customize.
Client solutions that are deployed using QA RAD include but is not limited to a Healthcare Risk Management suite consisting of Claims Management, Event/Incident Tracking, Physician/Practice Insurance Management, Patient Complaints, and more.
Data Conversion and Programming
QA Systems support services include data conversion and custom programming of database functions, procedures and interfaces to external databases. This is usually performed to extend the functionality of a client’s QA RAD solution whenever the need arises. For example, an incident tracking application may require patient information from an external data source such as a patient registration system. Gathering that information usually requires the development of an interface that extracts the information from the data source and makes it available for the application.
QA Systems solutions integrate with SAP Crystal Reports®, a well known robust reporting tool. This provides all of our clients with the ability to create their own reports or have QA Systems create it for them. Our experienced report developers are capable of developing in-depth reports with features such as graphs and cross tabulations, along with the ability to export to Adobe PDF®, Microsoft® Excel, and more. With the flexibility of using Crystal Reports© we have and are capable of re-creating existing forms or listings to meet most reporting requirements. In addition, QA RAD has an ad-hoc reporting tool which gives the ability for users to export data to Microsoft Excel, which provides basic reporting capabilities in a spreadsheet format.
